Janssen Healthcare innovation: Connected health challenge
Patients Know Best won first place in the second category of the Connected Health Challenge: "From Hospital to Home," which sought to identify platform solutions that can seamlessly integrate care from hospitals/physicians to the home environment with proven ability to reduce hospitalization days.
The Janssen Connected Health Challenge calls for technology solutions to improve care in three distinct areas including: 1) Enabling personal health management through technology; 2) Delivering quality care in patient homes and residential environments; and 3) Maintaining adherence to prescribed medication. Janssen Healthcare Innovation will award a total of €30,000 to support further development of the best ideas in each of these areas through the Challenge.

2011/09 Big Venture Challenge
Big Venture Challenge is a national competition to find 25 of the most ambitious social entrepreneurs in England. Patients Know Best was chosen for putting patients in control and for reaching a global market.
The 25 winners of Big Venture Challenge receive an initial £25K prize and the chance to access up to £150K of seed funding if matched by loans or equity from co-investors, plus first class business support and mentoring designed to keep pace with high growth social entrepreneurs.
These social entrepreneurs have vision, talent and determination. In other words, they are:

2010/10 UnLtd level 2 award
UnLtd awards a Level 2 grant to Patients Know Best as a social enterprise because of its patient-centered approach to care, and its commitment to improving the health care system. This highly competitive grant is a follow on to the Level 1 award that was the first we received, back in 2008.

Out of over 1,500 competing startups across Europe and the Middle East, Seedcamp chose Patients Know Best as one of eight winners. The prize included investment by 12 of Europe’s top venture capitalists.
